Welcome to the Newcastle Climbing Centre, the premier indoor climbing venue for Tyneside and the North East. Situated in the former church of St Marks the building provides a spectacular indoor climbing environment with over 1200 square metres of indoor climbing including roped walls, bouldering, auto belays and a specialist gear shop. Designed and constructed by Rockworks, a North East company with over 30 years experience in the industry, the climbing walls at the Newcastle Climbing Centre offer a fully comprehensive indoor climbing facility from bouldering and auto belay climbs to lead and top rope climbing. Climbing is a unique and dynamic sport and delivers exciting rewards both physically and mentally. If you are keen to try climbing we offer taster sessions, introductory courses, youth activities, qualifications and instruction for all abilities. Whether you are a novice or expert we aim to offer all our customers the very best indoor climbing experience.

Visited Newcastle climbing centre while in the area for the first time this week and I was impressed by the facilities and friendly helpful staff. The Bouldering area had a good spread of routes and the climbing wall and auto belay areas were great. I’ll definitely be coming back.
